and Theologian, Dies at 84
The Rev. Stanley L. Jaki, a physicist and theologian whose
prolific writings parsed the histories of science and religion and the
intertwining of faith and reason, died on Tuesday in Madrid, where he had
traveled from Rome after delivering a lecture. He was 84 and lived in Princeton,
N.J.

Stanley L. Jaki. A Benedictine priest, theologian and physicist Fr. Jaki was a Gifford Lecturer (1974-75, 1975-76) and in 1987 received the Templeton Prize. He is the author of over fifty books, many of them on the history and philosophy of science and he has written books on the Catholic faith as well. Most of these have been published by Real View Books.
